St Patricks Day and a very big tree!

Natasha danced in the St Patricks Day concert again this year. She looked great. I took my camera along but unfortunately didn't check my camera battery. So unfortunately there are no dancing on the stage photos this year. I've started shooting in Raw with my camera and I suspect that is why my battery caught me out. I'm thinking it might use more power holding the much larger files.

Rhys climbing down from a lookout point on the way back from Yandoit. The sign behind him warns people not to be on the lookout platform when lightning is around. The platform is the highest thing in a large valley surrounded by the Guildford Plateau.

"The Big Tree"
'River Red Gum'
The Big Tree is though to be one of the largest examples of the species in Victoria.
It has been recorded as having a height of 30m, a canopy spread of 34m, and a trunk circumference of 9.35m.
Estimates of the age of the tree range between 500 - 1000 years. (Taken from the sign in front of the tree.)
