Kidstown in Shepparton

Being school holidays and grey windy weather we decided to explore Shepparton today as we had never been there before. Our first stop was Kidstown where we ended up spending most of the day. The other interesting place (for me) was the SPC Factory shop. Cheap spaghetti, tomato sauce, apple puree, muesli bars it was great. I went home with a much heavier boot in my car.

Possums like Pizza

We took the kids out at dark last night to a local park. We took some chopped up apple for the possums and pizza for our dinner. The possums were very friendly and appeared to really like Rhys. There was a mother with a baby which was very cute.

Motorbikes & Cats

We seem to have been adopted by this cat. She loves the kids who monopolise her all the time, strange cat!! They have named her Jessica. I think I might go looking for an owner for her this afternoon.
Wayne fixed a small motorbike for someone this weekend. Rhys loved helping with the test ride after it was fixed.

Cinderella's Ball

The girls got to attend Cinderella's Ball at school last Thursday. Their topic this term was fairytales so it fitted in nicely. I took these photos beforehand as I had to go to work. Annie kindly took some photos for me and once I have gone through them and resized them I will put them up here as well.

Toasting Marshmallows

We spent the afternoon toasting marshmallows on a big bonfire with some friends. Kids cuddled chickens, played in the trees and generally had a lot of fun.

Party Time

Here are the photos from Emily's party today at the Little People's Art Studio. All the kids painted a picture frame and did a pastel water colour painting.

Puppet making

Wayne took the three kids to Daylesford to make puppets today. I had to work at Open Day at LaTrobe. Here are the beautiful puppets that they made.

Magpie lovers

We enjoyed watching this handsome male Magpie romance his girlfriend. After he suceeded in his quest he strutted around like he owned the place it was quite funny to watch. Must be a special bird day of the year 'cos Chirpy (our male canary) found his song again today after being quiet for months and has started chasing Miley around the cage again. Maybe 1st August is first day of spring for birds....who knows!

Cupcakes and Gift bags

We are celebrating Natasha's 9th birthday tomorrow. Her actual birthday is on Tuesday. I have made baby cupcakes and I even made the lolly gift bags out of wrapping paper, cardboard and ribbon from Spotlight. I really like the result and quite enjoyed creating them. There will be more pics after tomorrow for you to enjoy. We are having lunch with some friends at Maccas and then going to Hannah Montana The Movie.
